Man steals Metrobus, drives it into tree

A man who wore a bus driver’s uniform but apparently did not work for Metro took one of the transit agency’s buses from a garage Friday and drove it into a tree several miles away, Metro said.

Afterward, D.C. police stopped the bus on the edge of Capitol Hill, and the man fled, according to Metro.

The transit agency said no injuries were reported and a suspect was arrested.

hah! totally saw this on potomac avenue se this afternoon. and there wasn't much damage, the dude more like skimmed the tree.
