Man struck by car in D.C., seriously injured

A man was hit by a car and seriously injured Monday night in the Foggy Bottom area of Northwest Washington, authorities said.
The incident occurred near Virginia Avenue and 25th Street NW. The victim was taken to a hospital from the scene, which is near the Watergate apartments and a few blocks from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing arts.
