2 injured after MoCo bus, vehicle collision
Montgomery County police say a Ride On bus has collided with another vehicle on Route 355, seriously injuring two people.
Capt. Paul Starks says police were called to Route 355 near Ridgemont Avenue about 7:20 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a collision. Stark says two people suffered serious injuries and another 10 people may have suffered lesser injuries in the crash.
Starks says the southbound lanes of Route 355, a major artery in the county, are closed to traffic in the area of the crash while police investigate.

It is actually right there where they turn in for the metro station and I think there are no lights there... sometime the buses just dart out expecting the cars to slow down. they do it when they released from a stop, they jsut dart into traffic thinking that any oncoming traffic will slow down and let them in. I always try and stay away with from them just for that reason.. I just hope everyone is ok as we move forward. I do know helicopters were called.

Motorists alway seem annoyed by slow moving RideOn buses(to buses in general) and always try to cut them off in attempt to get ahead of them. Ridgemont ave is entrance to Shady Grove metro and I have seem many near miss accident due to someone running red light or speeding through in that intersection alone. People need to be considerate for busses since they have to obey all traffic laws. We also need some enforcement there and perhaps need to double the fine for people who cause accident to mass transit vehicles since it jeopardizes safety of many individuals.
