2 killed in Prince George's County
Two people were killed in apparently unrelated shootings in Prince George’s County Saturday evening, authorities said.
Few details were immediately available on either killing. The first occurred about 7:30 p.m. in the 5700 block of Auth Road in the Suitland area, authorities said.
Police called for the report of a shooting arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said. The victim has been identified as Charles Daniel Williams, 31, of Southeast D.C.
The second shooting occurred just after 9:30 p.m. near an Exxon gas station in the 6600 block of Riverdale Road in the Riverdale area, authorities said.
Police called for the report of a shooting arrived to find a male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said. That victim's name has not been released.
Officer Henry Tippett, a Prince George’s County police spokesman, said the two killings appeared to be unrelated.
