3 arrested after fight at Wheaton Metro

By Erica Johnston

Three youths were arrested in Wheaton on Tuesday after two groups fought at the Wheaton Metrorail stop, Montgomery County police said.

County police said a Metro police officer aided in the arrests, which came after police chased youths on foot. A Metro spokeswoman said two youths were charged with disorderly conduct and one with possession of a knife.

After the arrests, which occurred about 4 p.m., a youth was found injured in the same area, and police said they were trying to determine whether the incidents were connected. The youth was treated at a hospital for minor injuries and released.

"Youth" has always been a code word when written in the Post. I wonder if it is in their style book.

The post (and journalists) use the term "youths" when it is unclear if they are teens, in their 20's, minors, adults, etc. No conspiracy. But keep on making things up if it makes you feel better...
