Body found in Laurel near river
A body was found in the Laurel area of Prince George's County Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Just before 10 a.m., someone called 911 to report discovering a man lying near a river off Fort Meade and Laurel Bowie roads, authorities said. The man appeared to be dead, possibly from a heart attack, the caller reported, according to Prince George's County Police.
As is standard procedure, homicide detectives were called to investigate. Updates will be provided as they become available.
