Md. cyclist killed during Wed. storm
Police said Wednesday night's severe thunderstorms claimed the life of a woman riding her bicycle in western Maryland, WUSA reports.
Police said it was just after 6 p.m. when Dawn Jackson, 49, of Cumberland, was riding her bike on the Allegany Highlands Trail near the Valley Street intersection during a thunderstorm. Heavy winds and rain toppled a tree that crushed the woman while she was riding along.
