Ehrlich mistakenly labeled 'Democrat'

By Washington Post editors

A voters guide published by the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County has misidentified Republican gubernatorial candidate Robert L. Ehrlich a Democrat, the Gazette reports.

The 28-page guide, published this month, includes information on the qualifications and positions of state and local candidates.

The league corrected the guide on its Web site but does not plan to remove 70,000 print copies of the publication in circulation at Montgomery County libraries, government offices and retail locations, co-president Diane Hibino said Monday morning.

Ehrlich hopes to unseat Maryland's current governor, Democrat Martin O'Malley, in the contest to lead the state. The two are set to meet in a second debate Thursday at noon at The Washington Post.

Read more about the misprint in the voter's guide in the Gazette.

Sounds like the "mistake" was intentional. The Democrats really are desperate. Shame on Women Voters of Montgomery County

The Erhlich for Maryland Committee printed voter guides touting Wayne Curry, Jack Johnson and Kweisi Mfume as "Ehrlich-Steele Democrats" and listed Ehrlich as Governor and Steele as Senator on the "Democratic Sample Ballot" in 2006. Those guides were distributed in 2006. Looking at one as I type this right now. I'm sure that was a mistake too.

How does this "mistake" benefit Democrats? In Maryland, labeling Ehrlich as a Democrat only benefits Ehrlich!

BTW, I'm a Democrat and voted for Bob both times for Gov (but will not this time, for a variety of reasons...)
