Germantown woman fatally struck
A 55-year-old Germantown woman was struck by a car and killed Sunday night in the Germantown area of Montgomery County, county police said.
The incident occurred about 8:30 p.m. as the woman was trying to cross Germantown Road between Pinnacle and Crystal Rock Drives, police said. They said the woman, who was not in a crosswalk, was struck in the westbound lanes of Germantown, also designated as Route 118.
The woman’s name was not immediately released.
The immdiate area includes both commercial and residential buildings and includes a bus stop.
