Hyattsville man charged with drunk driving

By Washington Post editors

A Hyattsville man has been charged with negligent driving after police say he crashed his car while driving drunk on I-83 in Baltimore on Monday and killed his passenger, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Freddy Cortez Flores, 22, was northbound on I-82 just before 1 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a jersey wall. His passenger, Carlos O. Cardoza Portillo, was partially ejected and dragged along the jersey wall for 567 feet before the vehicle came to rest, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cortez Flores told police he had four beers; his blood alcohol level registered .09.

An immigration detainer was placed on Cortez Flores who was found to be in the country illegally.

Look, I am against illegal immigration, but at the same time I am feeling bad of the children of those illegals. Why should those children pay for the sins of their fathers. I don't think they should just be citizens, the ones that are brought here, I think they should either serve or do something to earn it, but they should definitely be able to. The parents or adults should never get it unless they leave and return the right way, else stay work, never get their citizenship or tax returns as payment for coming illegally. But check out this story I read about the Dream act

These illegals are about as bad as the obese-animals in SE pretending to hold church services near 7D police on Alabama Ave SE. Please do no feed these 350lbs plus $%^&*$ they are smelly enough.

I wonder how different things would be if there were no illegal immagrants?
For those who are here illegally, if they're charged and convicted of a crime then they should have to reimburse the government(federal, state or local) then be deported. If you had children while you were here then it's too bad for them...they're going back with you to wherever you came from. Should have considered that before you came here illegally or chose to reproduce. Too bad!
If they want to apply for citizenship then honestly answer when you came to the country and pay your back taxes for that timeframe while awaiting the process.
