Man charged in cousin's death
A 30-year-old Southeast Washington man was charged with second-degree murder Thursday in the slaying of his cousin earlier this month in Landover, Prince George's County police said.
Ronald Lawton Neal, 30, of the 4400 block of 3rd Street, turned himself into police at the Prince George's County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, officials said. Neal had been sought on an arrest warrant in the Jan. 8 death of Nathan Ronald Neal, 22, of the 2300 block of Minnesota Avenue SE.
Police found the younger man in the 1600 block of Brightseat Road just before 2 a.m. with upper-body trauma. Nathan Neal died later at a hospital. Investigators said he was fatally injured during a dispute with the cousin.
Officials declined to release the cause of death or details about what prompted the fight.
Neal was being held on a $2 million bond.
