Md. man killed when tractor overturns

Authorities in Frederick County say a Thurmont man was killed when the tractor he was operating overturned.

Cpl. Jennifer Bailey, a spokeswoman for the county sheriff's office, says the man was operating the tractor in a field along state Route 355 on Tuesday afternoon when it rolled over, pinning him.

Bailey says the man was pronounced dead at the scene. She says the investigation indicates that the man's death was an accident. The man's body will be taken to the Office of the State Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.

Bailey says the man's name has not been released pending notification of relatives.
