MoCo students hurt after car hits tree
Four Montgomery County high school students were injured Monday after the car they were in crashed into a tree, WTOP reports.
The crash occurred about 1:50 p.m. near the intersection of Avery and Muncaster Mill roads, close to Magruder High School. Authorities said a 19-year-old male was the driver of the Honda Accord that hit the tree.
He and three passengers, all 16-year-old girls, suffered minor injuries. One had to be extricated from the car. All were taken to an area hospital.
The four are all students at Macgruder High.

They hit a tree, AspenHillAvenger, not another car. The speed limit's 35-40 there and trees don't jump out into the road. I'm just glad the guy didn't hit another car.

They're very lucky they suffered only minor injuries. At 1:50 PM, weren't they supposed to be in class? Looks to me like the bad karma of skipping class came back around to them PDQ.

Traveling with THREE girls, the driver had visions of afternoon whoopee in his head and just lost control. Another dream unfulfilled.

A NINETEEN-year old HS student? Guess he was held back a grade or two.

Yes, let us make all roads straight and flat with soft cushiony bumpers along them so drunk, texting, horny teenagers can "drive" at will without fear of killing themselves or someone else.
(But get well soon, kids. Be more careful next time, because you're lucky to have a next time).

I assume the writer meant to say "when" not "after" the car they were in crashed into a tree. Of course I could be wrong; perhaps they were injured after the crash... :-)

What's that!? a car accident @ Muncaster Mill rd. involving high school students?! UNBELIEVABLE!
This has long been one of the most dangerous roads in all of Montgomery County and having Magruder HS in the vicinity makes it even more of a bad idea. Something has to be done about this continuing problem before we lose more students, thank god for the lucky ones tonite.
