Montgomery may raise parking fees

By Washington Post editors

Montgomery County officials are toying with the idea of raising parking fees by a dime and charging for parking on Saturdays, WJLA reports.

The proposal would increase meter fees in Bethesda from 65 cents to 75 cents an hour. Monthly parkers would have to pay 18 to 20 dollars more.

Now, this is getting out of hand. They just raised the fee last year and now they're about to raise it again? So, why don't they just raise it to a $1 and leave it at that. Imagine $8 to park at work...
