Another call for Johnson to quit council

By Miranda Spivack

Prince George's County council member Will Campos (D) has become the fifth county legislator to urge Leslie Johnson to give up her just-won seat on the nine-member panel because of the corruption charges she is facing.

Johnson and her husband, outgoing County Executive Jack B. Johnson (D), were arrested Nov. 12 on charges of evidence tampering and destruction of evidence. The Johnsons were overheard via federal wiretap plotting to get rid of a $100,000 check from a developer and stash $79,600 in Leslie Johnson’s bra.

That would be the decent thing to do, and we all know for sure now that there is nothing decent about her or her husband. Typical political greedy scumbags who think they are entitled to operate above the law without repercussions. I say nail em both to the wall.

Leslie Johnson has no morals and neither does her seedy shabby-suit wearing husband. I can't wait to heat mush-mouth try to talk his way out of this.

It is really sad that she does not want to give up her seat. You are not for the people so why are you still holding on..Stealing is a grounds to be removed; if she was the honest person "not" and the shoe was on the other foot; she would be doing all she can to get that person. They are both a disgrace to the community and their family...Give it up you have stolen enough..

There are other goings on that need to be investigated regarding the treacherous dual.Who were their friends, did their friends benefit from their ill gotten gain. How many family and friends start businesses or have fat bank accounts because of their underhanded dealings.I have been doing my own research on goings on in Suitland.I think Suitland Family and Life should be investigated, they were involved in developments with Jack Johnson.

It is a DAM! shame that Leslie Johnson and Jack for that matter would be found guilty by the citizens of Prince George's County before they ever step into a court of law. Martin Luther King, Jr. once wrote “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” And he was often crucified by the same white media that is providing the information about the Johnson’s situation. I’m not a fan of Jackson Johnson and quite frankly I think he is the worst county executive in the history of PG County. However, I am a fan of JUSTICE and he and his wife DESERVE their day in court. She was elected by the people of District 6, not by the media or her colleagues-to-be. It is TRAGIC that the leadership in PG would make decisions based on perception and not on facts. How many “YEA” votes have Campos, Harrison and company cast for developers that have given them money? How does that look? Wake up Prince George’s, if the white media is going to run the county then let’s get rid of all the DERELICKS! If not, then let’s let JUSTICE take its natural course, in a court of law.
