Obama visits Prince George's

By Washington Post editors

Normally, the only vehicles that come to the 5000 block of Tuxedo Road in Cheverly are buses, trucks and cars transporting people working in warehouses.

But on Friday, Tuxedo Road was swarming with Secret Service agents. President Barak Obama and Vice President Joe Biden paid a visit to K. Neal International Trucks, a small business in Prince George’s County that services trucks and buses.

Biden arrived first about 9:25 a.m. Obama's motorcade followed, arriving at 9:40 a.m.

Unlike other local visits, there were no crowds to greet the pair at the junction between Route 50, the Baltimore Washington Parkway and Kennilworth Avenue.

The event was also closed to the local media. And even though Prince George's Executive Jack Johnson (D) and other local officials might have loved to have their photo snapped with Obama and Biden, they were not invited to the event.
