One dead in Laurel house fire
UPDATE:
Prince George's County fire investigators have begun a probe into what caused a Laurel house fire that killed a female Monday, authorities said.
The fire occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of Brooklyn Bridge Road, authorities said. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from a one-story home and fire in the basement. After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters found a female dead in the basement.
Officials have not yet identified the victim. The cause of the fire is also under investigation.

One person is dead in a house fire in Laurel, authorities said.
The fire, in the 6700 block of Brooklyn Bridge Road in the Laurel area, is ongoing. Mark Brady, a spokesman for the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department, tweeted minutes ago that the fire had a "civilian fatality."
