1 killed, 7 injured in two Montgomery crashes
One person was killed and seven were injured in two automobile crashes late Saturday afternoon in Montgomery County, police said.
The fatal crash occurred about 4:45 p.m. on the Midcounty Highway in the Washington Grove area, the police said. Two people were injured in the three car collision, they said.
In the other incident five people were injured, four of them under 18-years-old, in a crash in the Sandy Spring/ Olney area about 10 miles north of the Capital Beltway, police said. They said the two-car crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. on Dr. Bird Road.
