Pedestrian struck and killed in Kettering
A man was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night as he crossed a poorly lit street in the Kettering area, Prince George's County police said.
The victim, who was not identified, was walking across Watkins Park Drive, near Central Avenue, about 8:30 p.m., said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a police spokesman. A car travelling over a hill apparently did not see the man and hit him.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Johnson said. The vehicle stayed at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, Johnson said.
