Meeting on E. MontCo. development
Now that Montgomery County has created a blueprint for a biosciences center near Gaithersburg, county planners are beginning work on similar plans for the county’s east side.
Planners with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission are hosting an open house to discuss east side development from 4:30-8:30 p.m. June 30, at the Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center, 3300 Briggs Chaney Road, Silver Spring.
The area already is home to the federal Food and Drug Administration’s White Oak campus. County officials hope to attract other scientific enterprises, including a hospital, and science and technology office park and a residential community that may house workers.
