Police believe man fell down trash chute
Baltimore police say all signs are pointing to an accidental fall as the cause of death of a man whose body was found in a trash bin in a downtown high-rise.
The body came down the trash chute of the Park Charles building and went through a trash compactor.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says the body was male but that building workers and residents haven't been able to identify the man.
He says the man's injuries were consistent with a fall and that there's no evidence of any struggle or of anyone dumping the body down the trash chute. He says the state Medical Examiner's office has classified the death as “undetermined.” Police believe the man fell into the chute from around the 20th floor of the 26-story building, which includes apartments and offices.
