Road work halts for holiday
All highway construction projects in Maryland and Virginia will be suspended for the Memorial Day weekend, opening traffic lanes on the interstates and state highways.
The Virginia Department of Transportation on Tuesday said the orange cones and work crews would disappear for the weekend. The Maryland Highway Administration made the same promise last week.
