A water main break in the 10600 block of MD Route 1 has forced officials to close the road to traffic in both directions, the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission reports.
The road is closed between Ewing and Montgomery roads. There is flooding in the area.
WSSC says crews are on the scene making repairs, but customers in the area may be experiencing low pressure.
Traffic on Rhode Island Avenue can access Route 1.
