A new boardwalk in Ocean City?
Officials in Ocean City, Md., will recommend a full reconstruction of the resort's famous boardwalk to the mayor and city council -- a project that could give the boardwalk a very different look, WAMU reports.
The mayor and council will decide whether to change the layout of the resort's most famous walkway. As part of the plan, officials are considering putting a concrete slab down the middle of the 2.5-mile boardwalk, with the traditional yellow pine boards on either side.

what with global climate change and whole island nations sinking into the pacific, maybe we should be more forward thinking and build the boardwalk in Annapolis.
