Two injured in Bowie accident
Two people were taken to area hospitals Monday following a two-vehicle crash in Bowie, Prince George's Fire and EMS report.
Firefighters, paramedics and police officers were called about 10 a.m. to the accident in the 9500 block of Laurel Bowie Road near Old Jericho Park Road. There they found a man in his 60s who was trapped in his vehicle for about 20 minutes until firefighters were able to free him.

He was taken to a trauma center; his injuries appear to be non-life threatening, officials said.
A woman in her 40s was in the second vehicle. She was treated on the scene and taken to a hospital in good condition.
Route 197 was closed for about an hour to allow emergency personnel to work at the crash site
