Two injured in Pr. George's crash

By Washington Post editors

Two people were critically injured in a crash in the Landover area of Prince George’s County Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The two-vehicle accident occurred about 10 a.m. in the 400 block of Brightseat Road, fire officials said. A man in his 40s and a woman in her 40s, both passengers in one of the vehicles, were taken to the hospital with injuries described as critical and life threatening, fire officials said. The man, fire officials said, was in "extremely critical" condition.

The driver of that vehicle refused to go to the hospital, fire officials said, and the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The circumstances of the crash, and what caused it, were not immediately clear.
