Woman gives birth on I-270
A woman gave birth to a baby girl Friday morning in a Mazda on the shoulder of Interstate 270 in Montgomery County, authorities said.
A man inside the vehicle received delivery instructions over the phone from a 911 operator, said Capt. Oscar Garcia, a spokesman for Montgomery's Fire and Rescue Service.
The mother and child, both taken to a local hospital by firefighters, appear to be doing well, Garcia added.
