Woman struck in hit-and-run incident

By Erica Johnston

A 29-year-old pedestrian was critically injured early Sunday in a hit and run incident in the Oxon Hill area, Prince George’s County police said.

The woman was found about 2:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Indian Head Highway near Talbert Drive, the police said.

They said she was unconscious and suffering from multiple injuries, and was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Investigators were trying to identify the vehicle involved, police said. They asked anyone with information to call the collision reconstruction unit at 301-731-4422.
