Woman struck in Rockville in critical condition
Two women were struck by a car Monday morning near the Twinbrook Metro Station, Rockville city police said. One woman was critically injured in the incident, which occurred around 8:45 a.m. on Chapman Avenue, the police said.
The more seriously injured woman is a 63-year-old Upper Marlboro resident, police said. They said she was not in a marked crosswalk when struck by a car that was southbound in the 1800 block of Chapman. She was taken to Suburban Hospital where she was in critical but stable condition, the police said.
