Injured construction worker dies
Update, 11:55 p.m.:
The construction worker died late Thursday night at Washington Hospital Center, Montgomery county police said.
Earlier:
A construction worker was critically injured Thursday when he fell from the second floor of a Laytonsville home, Montgomery county authorities said.
The man, who was not identified, fell 10 feet as his crew was erecting a second-floor wall at a new home in the 18600 block of Woodgate Place about 4:30 p.m., said Capt. Oscar Garcia, a fire department spokesman.
He was drifting in and out of consciousness and was taken to a hospital with injuries that were considered potentially life threatening, Garcia said.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
