The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission lifted mandatory water use restrictions Monday afternoon.
Power was cut off Sunday afternoon to a WSSC plant that supplies 70 percent of the water for Montgomery and Prince George's counties when a storm moved through the region. Authorities asked residents to curb consumption and refrain from any outdoor use.
The plant returned to full production late Monday morning.
