Md. man killed in tractor incident
A 60-year-old Maryland man was killed when he was pinned under a tractor he was using to free a pickup truck stuck in the mud, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.
Cpl. Jennifer Bailey said David Burdette, of Middletown, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident Monday afternoon. She says an employee of Eddie Mercer Agri-Services Inc. was spraying Burdette's field when his truck got stuck in a marshy area. He asked Burdette for help.
Bailey says Burdette responded by chaining the truck to his tractor to pull it out of the mud. Instead the tractor flipped over on top of Burdette.
