New planning chair tapped in MoCo
Francoise Carrier has been nominated to be Montgomery County's new planning board chairman.
Carrier won unanimous backing from the County Council on Tuesday. Her nomination is expected to win swift approval from County Executive Isiah Leggett (D). Carrier, a lawyer who has served as the county's chief hearing examiner for the past eight years, would take office June 14. Her salary was set at $160,000. She would replace Royce Hanson, who did not seek reappointment.
