Now that you've dug out, here's your ticket
Now that the big thaw is under way, and many folks have dug out of the snow, the D.C. Department of Public Works says it has issued 1,179 tickets for snow emergency violations, each carrying a $250 fine, and towed more than 200 vehicles.
Meanwhile, Mayor Adrian Fenty says the city will be ready when federal workers return to work Tuesday.
.
The mayor said 330 plow trucks are being deployed for the sixth time in the last few days, but many roads already are in decent shape..
