Orange Line train halted by smoke
By

An Orange Line train bound for New Carrollton was halted at the Ballston station late Thursday night because of thick smoke. The train's 50 to 75 passengers, many of whom were on their way home from a Frankie Valli concert at Wolf Trap, were ordered to get off. It was unclear what was causing the smoke or when service would resume.
