Pedestrian critically hurt on N.J. Ave. NW

A pedestrian was struck by a car and critically injured Friday night in downtown Washington, authorities said.
The incident occurred about 9:30 p.m. in the 800 block of New Jersey Avenue NW.
The man was taken to a hospital with injuries that appeared to be life-threatening, officials said.
