Motorcyclist dies in Glen Burnie crash
Police believe alcohol was a factor in a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Glen Burnie.
The crash happened about 20 minutes before midnight Saturday at the intersection of Solley and Nabbs Creek roads. Police say a woman struck a deer with her car, and the driver of the car behind her stopped to avoid hitting her. But a motorcycle driven by 34-year-old John Fabian III didn't stop and hit the second car.
Fabian was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 29-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries. Police believe Fabian had been drinking, based on evidence at the scene.

For the record, Mr. Fabian had absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt NOT been drinking anything other than straight unadulterated Pepsi that night. The passenger on the bike had been and had so informed police on the scene

Mr. Fabian has served this country and state honorably as an infantry soldier in the Maryland National Guard he was also a firefighter/EMT in AA Co. and well knew the risks posed by drunk or intoxicated drivers and riders as he had a great deal of experience on rescue calls from incidents involving alcohol. Mr. Fabian had also been a 9/11/01 WTC responder in NYC arriving on the scene on 9/12/01...

Glad to hear the guy's dead. Motorcyclists are dangerous enough without being full of booze!
