Police: Driver had consumed alcohol
Over at the Crime Scene, Del Quentin Wilber is reporting that court papers say the driver of a car involved in a fatal crash that critically injured a forward on the U.S. national soccer team told police that she had consumed alcohol before the accident.
Charlie Davies, 23, broke his legs and badly injured his bladder in a one-car accident on the George Washington Parkway about 2:30 a.m. Oct..13. Another passenger, Ashley J. Roberta, 22, of Phoenix, Md., died in the crash. The driver has not been identified by police.
