Police look for vandals with BB gun

By Brigid Schulte

Prince George’s police are looking for two people believed responsible for one of the largest cases of random vandalism in the county. Police think the two are driving around the eastern part of the county in a black Honda Del Sol convertible, shooting up windshields with a BB gun.

So far, the suspects have been tied to nearly 100 cases.

“This is the first case of this magnitude that we’ve experienced,” said Evan Baxter, spokesperson for the county police. “There doesn’t seem to be much of a pattern, which has been one of the complications in tracking these guys down. It seems like they’re crimes of opportunity.”

The two suspects have been shooting up windshields all over Lanham, Lake Arbor, Springdale and Bowie since mid-September, Baxter said.

“A BB will put a hole through the windshield,” Baxter said. “It’s not like it makes a crack you can patch. You have to replace the whole windshield.”

Police are asking anyone with any information to call the Department’s District II Investigative Section at 301-390-2160, or Crime Solvers, at 866-411-8477. Text “PGPD” plus your message to CRIMES (274367) on a cellphone or to go to to submit a tip online. Police are offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspects.

Hey, how much bigger can you get than Jack Johnson finally given his comeupance? Now let's just get him convicted. I just loved how his wife had to cover up her face when she was being escorted out of their house. Never could figure out that move. If you did the crime, show your face.
