Hopkins shootings 911 calls released
Baltimore police have released 911 calls from the shootings Thursday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
An Arlington County man who for years had devoted his life to caring for his elderly mother apparently lost control when he learned news about her medical condition. He pulled a gun from his waistband and shot a Johns Hopkins Hospital doctor in the chest before barricading himself in his mother's eighth-floor hospital room.
The 911 calls reveal the chaotic moments after the gunman allegedly opened fire. One caller said, "911! 911! Shooting on Nelson 8!" referring to the building and floor where the shooting occurred. "I'm shaking," another caller said as she relayed the situation.
