Funeral today for U-Va.'s Yeardley Love
Relatives and friends are gathered in Baltimore at the funeral of Yeardley Love, the University of Virginia senior who was found dead Monday. Her former boyfriend George Huguely has been charged in the case.
The somber services were scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen and were closed to the media.
Julie Myers, head coach of the U-Va. women's lacrosse team, was among those scheduled to address the gathering before the family reflected on Love's life.
The body of Love, 22, a star lacrosse player at U-Va. was found in a bedroom of her off-campus apartment in Charlottesville. She was allegedly beaten to death by Huguely, a lacrosse player on the school's men's team.
