Safety zones for D.C. students

The Associated Press via The Examiner reports on a new plan being proposed by D.C. Council members to create safety zones for students. The legislation would allow the Metropolitan Police Department to establish temporary,1,000-foot safety zones outside public and charter schools, if they have reason to believe there is a safety threat to students, parents or staff.
