Salt dome collapses in Montgomery County
By
Terri Rupar
A salt dome in Montgomery County partially collapsed shortly after 11 p.m. The dome, on Cape May Road in Silver Spring, collapsed on a front-end loader; the driver was briefly trapped but seems to have escaped serious injury.
It's not clear what caused the collapse, though it may have been a vehicle striking the dome.
