Share your power outage stories

By Joe Stephens and Mary Pat Flaherty

July 26, 2010: A technician works to repair power lines in Reston after severe storms wiped out power for tens of thousands of customers in the Washington region.

Storms generated massive power outages throughout the Washington region in February and July. But D.C.-area residents can also experience outages -- without apparent explanation -- when the weather is calm.

The Washington Post's local team is interested in learning more about these "blue sky" outages. Have you had continuing problems with your electrical service, or has an outage caused extreme hardship to your friends or family? If so, please share your story by filling out the form below.

In particular, we would like to know about any medical problems aggravated by outages, problems with children or the elderly who were isolated by outages, multiple outages at a single address or extreme economic losses caused by outages.
