Storms down trees, knock out power
Strong thunderstorms downed trees and power lines and left hundreds without electricity in the region.
Pepco reports about 450 customers — mostly in Prince George's County — without power on Monday morning. Since the storms started moving through the area Sunday, BGE says about 20,000 customers — mostly in Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties — lost power.
Crews have restored power to all but about 600 BGE customers by Monday morning.
The National Weather Service says there were reports of 1-inch balls of hail.
The storm left some roads in the area flooded. The Maryland Transit Administration warned MARC Brunswick Line passengers of delays of 10 to 15 minute Monday morning due to flash flood warnings along the line.
