Taser used on suspect in Frederick
A Taser was used Saturday morning to incapacitate a fleeing suspect in Frederick, the police there said.
The device was used around 2:15 a.m. after officers attempted to intervene in a fight in the unit block of S. Market Street, the Frederick police said.
During the fight, a crowd formed. An officer began struggling with a man, and tried to place him under arrest. But the man broke away and began to run, police said.
At that point another officer used the Taser, an electrical device capable of producing incapacitation. The man was subdued and taken into custody, police said.
They said another man fled. A third person who appeared to be involved in the fight was trying to break it up, police said.
