Teen dad sentenced in death of son
An 18-year-old Gaithersburg man has been sentenced to 20 years in connection with the death of his 2-year-old son.
Darryl E. Powell was sentenced Wednesday in Montgomery County Circuit Court in connection with the death of his son Zjaire Williams.
Police were called to Powell's home on Jan. 7 for a report of an unresponsive child. Zjaire was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy found that he had bruises over his body. Crime Scene has more details.
