Gulf Coast pets seeking D.C. area homes
Washington-area Humane Society shelters are hosting some visitors from the Gulf Coast, but officials are hoping to find them new homes in the region.
ABC 7 reports that some in the Gulf Coast affected by the oil spill have been forced to give up their pets. Some of those animals have found themselves in Washington region, hoping for new homes.
The Loudoun County shelter is hoping that after a quick checkup the animals will be available for adoption early next week.
