Three teens arrested for racist graffiti
Howard County Police today announced the arrest of three15-year-old males -- all students from Ellicott City -- for destroying school property, stealing and defacing school property with racist graffiti.
The three teenagers are students at Mt. Hebron High School in Ellicott City. Authorities said on Dec. 5, the teens broke the side window of a portable classroom and used spray paint to draw swastikas and "KKK" on school property. Police are investigating whether the graffiti was targeted at anyone affiliated with the school. The youths also allegedly stole electronics and destroyed computer equipment.
In an unrelated case, police also discovered racist and obsence graffiti painted on the outside of a building and on a trailer at Hammond Middle School in Laurel. Authorities believe the damage took place over the weekend and are offering a $300 reward for information. Individuals who have information, should call 410-313-STOP.
