Three teens injured in Upper Marlboro accident

By Washington Post editors

Three teenagers were injured after the vehicle in which they were in left the road and struck a tree in Upper Marlboro, Prince George’s County Fire and EMS report.

The teens were traveling in the 4300 block of Lords Landing Road just before 3 p.m. when their vehicle left the road. Officials said it took about 30 minutes to extricate the three teens.

One male teen was flown to a trauma center in critical condition with life threatening injuries. A second teen-aged male was also flown to a trauma center with serious injuries that did not appear to be life threatening. The third victim, a teen-aged female, was taken by paramedics to a trauma center with less serious injuries.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the crash.

In today’s WaPo, a woman in Hillcrest Heights beat her mother to death, two were killed in car crash in PGC while being chased by cops, and teens are seriously injured in Upper Marlboro when they wrap their car around a tree. You just can’t beat PG County for providing endless entertainment! Bwaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaa

@checkered1, checkered you are if this is entertainment. These people may be outside of your family and or friend zone but they were people who were family and friend to someone, try showing a little respect because chances are if you are in the WaPo audience your life or that of someone close to you could easily be affected by the very people you laugh at. You won't be laughing then. If this escapes you ponder it for awhile and when your path is crossed with the likes of those featured in this article, let these words ring in your ear? Bwaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

"...vehicle in which they were in..." and "teens were traveling" and ""vehicle left the road." Where's the responsibility? One of those teens was behind the wheel, driving that vehicle, causing it to leave the road & hit that tree. The vehicle doesn't have a mind of it's own, now, does it? I'm so disgusted by the print & other media who report crashes this way.

I agree with PorthosAD, the driver left the road and struck a tree, not the vehicle. It's the same thing when an article says "the vehicle crossed the center line." I do hope the teens make a full recovery. This is a tragedy that could happen to anyone.

@checkered1, my co-worker is the mother of the girl that was involved in that crash--which happened not because they were drinking, not paying attention or being reckless but because the road was slick and he simply lost control. the two guys were her boyfriend and his god brother, the boyfriend just died 20 mins ago. its sad that somebody eles's tragedy is your entertainment, so while your chilling and having a good chuckle, a family is in morning right now.
